Current Issues
The broad mission of Grassroots – to inform the public about the links between common environmental exposures and human health – mandates that we involve ourselves in a large and growing array of legacy and emerging issues.
We begin by investigating the state of the science, seeking out published, peer-reviewed independent studies and speaking directly with researchers and medical professionals to fully understand the possible implications of their findings.
We dive deeper to understand the public health impacts of these exposures; first, to understand how and if they can be mitigated or eliminated, and then to develop specific policies that can be practically implemented at the local, regional or federal level.
Our portfolio of issues changes as new threats emerge, and others subside. If you are concerned about an environmental health issue we're not addressing, please let us know.
