The ChildSafe School Resource Guide contains a single DVD with three short documentary films: "Clean & Green" examines the unique vulnerability of children to chemicals in institutional cleaning products and explains why existing adult standards for green cleaning products are not sufficient to protect children's health. The video features interviews with Dr. Joel Forman of Mount Sinai Medical Center and two school facilities directors who have developed and implemented child-protective green cleaning policies in their school districts. "No Idling Zone " explores the relationship between exposure to diesel exhaust and human health conditions including asthma and lung cancer. The video features an interview with Dr. Ted Chatter, Science Director of the of Science and Environmental Health Network and Dr. Geoff Gordon, the Superintendent of Port Washington Public Schools which adopted the first effective "No-Il ding" policy in New York State. "Playing it Safe" deals with the potential toxins in lawn pesticides, and the risks which children face when playing on treated sports fields. Dr. Leo Trasande of Mount Sinai Medical Center explains why researchers are so concerned about chronic, low-level exposures, and professional turf expert Chip Osborne tells how he maintains the fields in Marblehead, Mass without using pesticides.
