Mission Statement

Grassroots Environmental Education is a science-based environmental health non-profit, seeking to inform the public and decision makers about the health risks of common environmental exposures and to empower individuals and organizations to act as catalysts for change in their own communities. We strive to accomplish this using science-driven arguments for clean air, clean water, and a safe food supply, and for stricter regulation of radiation and chemical toxins. We believe that positive and lasting change is best accomplished through grassroots initiatives.

We are regularly exposed to chemicals in our environment that are known to cause health problems, especially for our children.  It is important to learn more about where and how we are exposed to these ubiquitous chemicals. Addressing indoor air quality, filtering contaminated water and making educated choices when making purchases can go a long way to protecting your health.
